@AdrianEaston I was thinking of changing to the 13inch for the better battery and downgrading to the corei5 1.7ghz for the simple reason of cost. My core i7 11inch gets hot quickly and the fan is loud and the battery only lasts 2 hours or 3 if I’m careful.

@AdrianEaston however, i do need it for video editing so hopefully i wont lose out.

@AdrianEaston It does. I’ve tried both the 11 and 13inch core i7 models and the 13inch ran 10C cooler than the 11inch when watching flash video. This in turn makes a difference to the battery life because the fan isnt running. You also get a faster running core i7 to the 11inch model because the machine dosent need to slow down to cool. They dont advertise this on the apple store now do they?

@simon44 Yeah the 13″ is so much more practical and less of a ripoff than the 11″

@AdrianEaston The 11inch is great all the same. I like the size of it. The only reason I changed to the 13 was because I do too much video editing and it was to become my main computer. An 11inch as a main computer (unless you dont use it too much or only use the internet) is just too small really.

maybe next time on the 11″ air set it to full screen to add precious screen space on the small screen. would like to see it running x on a loaded 11″ i.e. i7 and then see a long clip played out to see if there is any drag
