CoQ10 is a vitamin-like, oil-soluble substance that is found in most eukaryotic cells and more specifically in the mitochondria. It is also called Coenzyme Q10. Its primary function is to generate energy in the form of ATP. Since most 95 % of the body energy is produced this way, CoQ10 is specifically present in most organs with the most energy requirement. For example: the Heart, kidney and liver.

There are several advantages that Coenzyme Q10 has that make it most vital as far energy is concerned.

Heart Health
Coenzyme Q10 aids in maintaining a cardio vascular system. Research has shown that heart failure has been linked to lack of CoQ10 in the heart tissues.CoQ10 is available as a food supplement and in others it is found as a medicine. Lack of this substance has been known to cause massive heart attacks and has led to increased mortality rates.

CoQ10 is very effective in treating Pediatric congestive heart disease and Huntington’s disease in its soluble ubiquinol form. Although it has not been proven, it is used in the enhancement of athletic performance and in the treatment of triglycerides.

Blood Pressure
There were tests done in 2007 that proved that CoQ10 was effective in reducing hypertension by way of a therapeutic action. The tests done on 362 patients effectively devided into 12 trials showed that Coenzyme Q10 has the relieving effect to reduce systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in hytention patients by 17 mm and 10 mm respectively.

Headaches
CoQ10 has been tested and concluded to bring a relief to migraine headaches. In the test, each of the 42 patients was given a dosage of 150- 300 mg per day and they showed great improvement in their condition.

Cancer
CoQ10 is being tested as a treatment for cancer and the side-effects that affect cancer patients around the world.

Extension of lifespans
A test carried on rats showed that CoQ10 has the potential of elongating their lifespan. The decrease in the aging in mice potentially shows that these could, very well, be reciprocated to humans.

CoQ10 is used to reduce the radiation injury when taken as a dietary supplement.
Indeed, Coenzyme Q10 is effective in bring treatment to several diseases that have been known to cause anguish and suffering to humans.

HCG is a hormone that is naturally produced by humans. It is also used, in far larger doses than when it is taken for weight loss, as a medical treatment, typically for fertility problems. HCG has been associated with certain side-effects when it is given as a fertility treatment. Although it is less likely that these side-effects will be experienced when taking the lower doses that are used as part of the HCG diet, it is still possible for some dieters to suffer from side-effects.

The most common side-effect that has been linked with HCG is headaches. Other side-effects that may be experienced by people who are taking HCG include feelings of irritability or restlessness, tenderness or swelling of the breasts, bloating, and, if the HCG is being injected, inflammation and pain at the injection site.

A few more serious side-effects have also been linked with taking HCG. HCG can stimulate the early onset of puberty if it is taken by young boys. In women, it can cause a condition called ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome, which can be very serious and which may even be fatal if it is not treated. The symptoms of OHSS are swelling in the hands or the legs, abdominal swelling, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, weight gain, diarrhea, pelvic pain and infrequent urination.

It is sensible to consult a doctor before starting the HCG diet since they will be able to provide advice about whether or not it will be suitable. Should any side-effects be experienced during the diet, it is important to discuss them with a physician.
HCG should never be taken during pregnancy or by a woman who is nursing. People who are suffering from any medical conditions or who are taking any type of medication should consult their doctor before taking HCG in order to ensure that there will be no additional risks or drug interaction problems.
